The Medical Intensive Program starts soon!

Our 3-step formula.
1. Learn medicine
2. Complete projects
Dive into human physiology, pharmacology and 100+ diseases through live or self-paced classes taught by physicians.
Receive physician feedback as you develop medical articles, clinical topic explainers, infographics, public health projects, case-based discussions, or emerging research spotlights.
3. Publish or present
We partner with medical blogs and health magazines to selectively publish exceptional student projects. We also offer an annual Emerging Physicians Conference where students can apply to present their work. Enter the world of medical writing and give your CV a boost in the process.

WHY DOCERA
Most pre-med students follow the same path.
Docera helps you build one that stands out.
Pre-med students are often told to check the same boxes: good grades, volunteering, shadowing, and research. But standing out in today’s competitive environment requires more.
Docera gives students early exposure to real clinical thinking. Students explore real medical topics such as the pathophysiology of heart failure. Through interaction with physicians, students gain insight into how doctors approach patient care, analyze clinical problems, and communicate complex ideas clearly. Students also have the opportunity to develop polished, publication-ready editorial projects that demonstrate depth and a genuine understanding of medicine.
This is more than another extracurricular. It’s an opportunity to build a portfolio that reflects who you are becoming as a future physician.
Project Opportunities
Docera students apply what they learn through physician-guided scholarly projects designed to strengthen medical communication, critical thinking, and scientific literacy. Students receive physician feedback throughout the project development process, helping them strengthen scientific accuracy, professionalism, and clarity of communication.
Dissemination & Recognition
Students are encouraged to share their work through opportunities such as:

-
Submission to our partner medical publications
-
Presentation through the Emerging Physicians Conference
-
Professional portfolio development
-
Educational showcases and scholarly competitions

While publication and presentation opportunities are available, they are not guaranteed and are dependent on project quality and acceptance criteria.
Why Docera
"Before finding Docera, I was frustrated because I couldn’t find a program that taught real medical knowledge. Most opportunities felt very basic, but Docera offered the structure and depth I was looking for to explore medicine more seriously."
Abhinav Surapaneni

I joined Docera to gain a better understanding of what it really means to be a physician. I was eager to have a physician guide me through medical topics and to work on projects with publication opportunities.
Claire Ewald

"Before Docera, I found it difficult to get my foot in the door when it came to opportunities related to medicine, research, and healthcare. [With Docera] I can spend my summer doing something I am genuinely interested in while learning new skills."
Nina Mimpally

“I joined Docera to learn more about the human body and be able to use that knowledge to educate others. I was especially interested in developing the ability to connect scientific concepts to real-world medical situations and communicate those ideas effectively.”
